Nursery Progress
What it looked like before ( it used to be the study, this is post furniture move of course).

And after paint and furniture move in:

Much more decorating to be done! Many things to purchase... The walls are so bare! The 2 BIG things are done, paint and furniture! Thanks soooo much to my loving brother Trevor for painting (with Joey's assistance)!

The nursery
Joey and my brother finished painting the nursery last night, yay! It looks awesome! Pictures soon :) Tomorrow the furniture is delivered, double yay! It will be so nice to have her room mostly complete! The thing that stinks about the furniture delivery though it that I work tonight and tomorrow night, so the delivery will interrupt my very needed sleep. Oh well, I can do one night shift sleep deprived, this is what a little bit of caffeine and a lot of busy work is for, right?

The past week...
A few things have happened in the last week..
Pregnancy wise: Joey and I had a pretty eventful day last Saturday. We ran a ton of errands and were pretty much on the go all day. It felt great to TCOB (ask if you don't know..)! That night, I did a girls night, pretty tame. Board games at Lindsay's house, skinny girl margies for them and soda for me of course :) Around midnight I started having horrible cramping in my tummy. Like, period cramps but 10 fold. Laid around for a bit, tried to let it pass, drank water, etc. etc. The cramping just wasn't letting up and it was starting to go into my back. I wasn't having contractions from what I could tell, but was still worried so I called my OB's answering service and my dad (who is also an OB). My dad told me he always tells his patients with similar symptoms to go to the hospital to be on the safe side. I drove from Lindsay's way out west all the way back to my neck of the woods to my hospital; 40mph the entire way because I was in sooo much pain.
Joey and I made it to the hospital and went in through the ER, knowing all I was going to get from them was a wheelchair ride to OB. I arrived in OB, put on the monitor and my nurse called the doc. I wasn't having contractions (yay and duh) but I did have increased uterine tone, but continuously. The doc wanted me to drink as much water as I could (I downed about 2000mLs!) and the gave me some terbutaline (smooth muscle relaxant that relaxes uterine muscles). Terbutaline has a similar mechanism of action to albuterol (which I use for my asthma) as its primary indication is for asthma, a side effect is that it relaxes uterine muscles, so I didn't have to horrible effects most people get. I was somewhat shaky and I could feel my heart beating really fast; but it made the cramps go away! They kept me there on observation for about 3 hours and was sent home.
Seriously, no more of these trips until little missy is born! Which will be in August!
Family wise: Lucy was spade (sp?) this week. She went in on Monday, we got her home on Tuesday. Everything went well, she has been acting like nothing happened! When Callie had her surgery they did internal sutures and glue. With Lucy, she has external sutures, which I think are itchy to her. I really have to watch her to make sure she isn't itching. Poor pup :( Next Thurs she gets her stitches out.
House wise: On Wednesday we got our house back!! No more sleeping on the mattress in the basement!! The wood floors look AMAZING, and we bought some awesome area rugs :) Joey's coworker Jeff came over and helped move all the furniture back in. Did a little bit or rearranging and everything looks great! We took a little trip to NFM and bought a new dining set. The one I had from my apartment was a freebie from a friend (it was nice, but didn't match the style we're going for) and we sold it on Craigslist last month. Next week we should have the table, and it will be complete!!
My brother Trevor is going to come paint the baby's room on May 1. I can't wait!! Then the following week the furniture for the baby's room should be delivered! I can't wait to get her nursery going!! The bedding in here, the mattress is here, the changing table cushion is here, I need her furniture!!
I'm feeling especially fat lately. Now that my cold is gone, I need to get my self back in shape!! Joey doesn't want me to overexert myself, understandable. Which means to stay in bed all day if I'm not at work. I know he's just worried because of the visit to the hospital, but I can't be a lumpy preggo blimp! I want an elliptical in my house.... gym, tomorrow.
That's the latest and greatest. I need to update when this stuff happens, no more weekly recaps (or atleast I'll try!)

Still sick!
Warning: Major complaint session.
Well i had a day of reprive after my icky asthma attack. I started feeling cold like symptoms on Monday I THINK. At first just chalked it up to irriration for the polyurethane still. As of now, my voice is completely gone (I sound like a man), my throat hurts, I have an annoying but productive cough, my nose goes from being completely plugged up to running like a faucet!
I was supposed to work tonight, but already called in sick. Supposed to go to the dentist at 10 but called to reschedule.
I'm currently laying im bed (which is still our matress in the basement as we cant put area rugs on the new floors till next week) with the humidifer on, and it is really soothing to my throat!
So once again, another wasted day due to illness. Catch up on some TV and snuggle my pups!
